   Wait.

   What does the class list as the kind of camera you need?

   35 mm SLR?
   P&S camera?
   DSLR?

   By the way, I cannot find a Kodak Z7 … A Z712, but no Z7.

   Since there is no 60x optical zoom cameras, my guess is you are combining the optical zoom (true zoom) and digital zoom (smoke and mirrors).
   Find out before you spend a cent and then ask us again

   First of all, in this day and age, I recommend going digital.

   Second, I recommend get a Canon or a Nikon. They are leading the industry.

   I don’t know you price range, so I can’t tell you what’s best. If you want a lower end SLR, you should look into the new Nikon D90 or Canon’s Digital Rebels.
